Professor Huayong Yang is the head of School of Mechanical Engineering, the director of the State Key Laboratory of Fluid Power and Mechatronic Systems, Zhejiang University. He received a doctor degree of Philosophy from the University of Bath, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2013. Professor Yang’s research interests are in motion control and energy saving of mechatronic systems, development of fluid power component and system, integration of electro-hydraulic system and engineering application.
Chun-Hsien CHEN is Full Professor, Director of the Design Stream, and Professor-in-Charge of the Design & Human Factors Lab in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received his BS degree in Industrial Design from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, MS and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA. He has several years of product design & development experience in the industry. His teaching and research interests are design science in product design and development; engineering/design informatics for managing/ supporting digital design & manufacturing; and human factors and management of human performance. He has more than 300 publications in these areas.
Yong-Wei Zhang is a Distinguished Principal Scientist and Distinguished Institute Fellow at the A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (A*STAR IHPC). His research expertise lies in developing and applying multiscale modelling and simulation methods to understand material properties and provide guidance for material design, synthesis and fabrication.
Dr. Tan is a Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology (AAET), Honorary Fellow of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO), and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). He is the committee member of WFEO’s Committee on Engineering for Innovative Technologies (CEIT) since 2018. He is actively involved in various intelligent strategic and technical consultations to assist the industry towards Digital Transformation. He is the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Digital Transformation advisor/mentor. Additionally, Dr. Tan is the Technical Expert for ISO/IEC Smart Manufacturing Standards Map Task Force (ISO/IEC SM2TF) since 2019.
Dr. Weiming Shen is a Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. Prior to joining HUST, he worked for 20 years at National Research Council Canada as Research Officer, Senior Research Officer, and Principal Research Officer. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC). He is an internationally-recognized expert on Agent-Based Collaborative Technologies and Applications. He has published several books and over 500 papers in scientific journals and international conferences in the related areas. His work has been cited over 16,000 times with an h-index of 60.
Marcelo Tarkieltaub is the Regional Director of Rockwell Automation, Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, Tarkieltaub is responsible for sales and business operations across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan and Vietnam, as well as driving strategic growth for Rockwell Automation in Asia Pacific. With over 20 years of experience at Rockwell Automation, Tarkieltaub has built and developed several high-performing teams, leading the execution of key regional growth strategies for the business.
Mr. Kasahara completed his Master’s degree at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kobe University, in 2000. He joined Makino Milling Machine Co., Ltd. the same year and was engaged in developing high-speed, high-precision multi-axis control and on-machine measurement technologies. In 2020, he became General Manager of the Solution Development section, where he led the development of the next-generation Professional Series controller and the MAS Series FA management software. In 2024, he was promoted to Deputy Executive Manager of the R&D division, and in 2025, he joined MAKINO ASIA to lead the Advanced Robotics & Digitalization Business Unit.
Bernd Lieberth serves as the Business Developer FA for the Asia Pacific Region at Siemens Digital Industries. He oversees the market penetration of the Siemens Factory Automation Portfolio and provides intensive support to Sales Specialists across Asia Pacific. Bernd coordinates strategic and operational initiatives with regional teams and business development. He also manages the execution and support of events, conferences, trainings, customer development, and exhibitions.
Mercy Zhang is the Head of International Digital Business and Innovation, SUPCON. He is responsible for SUPCON’s Singapore R&D Center, focusing on software-defined control, AI-driven closed-loop optimization, and open data integration.
Dr. Pei Huang, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of e-works. He is currently a Foreign Fellow of AAET, a member of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of ICIM, Vice Director of CAAI Professional Committee of Intelligent Manufacturing, Vice President of Hubei Artificial Intelligence Society and Vice President of Hubei Mechanical Engineering Society.
